Finding the perfect serenade on Jl. Surabaya
For the last couple of days, I've been listening to nothing but the `Serenade for the Renegade,' an epic symphony from Esbjorn Svensson Trio's 2002 album entitled Strange Place for Snow. While there's no way I could have found the album at any mall's music store, it stood subtly in one corner shop of Jl. Surabaya.

Getting ready for international education
International education is a growing possibility for students here in Indonesia. International is a word that is being bandied about a lot in reference to education in Indonesia nowadays. It is often attached to the names of schools and courses of study at universities, however it does not always imply an international approach to education.

Despite the obvious appeal of multilingualism among today's parents and children, alternating between two or more languages can be problematic when not handled properly. The key, according to Seto Mulyadi, chairman of the National Commission for Child Protection, is in maintaining consistency.
