Working Women

Who says that the office is a no-style zone.

One of the benefits of being a woman is you can be stylish 24/7 at home, in the office or during a night on the town. There is so much to choose from out there to keep you looking good. This month, let’s go to work with style.

Going to work is not a day in the park. That smothering office atmosphere, the back-stabbing and craven attempts to curry favor are one thing; you also have work piling up and that hysterical, insecure boss to deal with. Yes, work is sometimes like hell on earth, but with coffee breaks.

Still, unless you want to end up with no food on the table and no chance of taking part in that discount sale, you had better work, girl (to paraphrase an almost-girl from a few years back). So taking care of number one by looking good in the latest styles may help you endure the office ordeal, especially if it also reaps some flattery along the way.

And your good example may spread to the others in the office, who will follow suit by reassessing their fashion choice. The office gossipmonger peering quizzically at you from behind her computer may get the rumor mill going with assumptions about how – or who – you are paying for your sartorial transformation. Let the sorry thing say what she likes; you are next in line for a promotion!
