In the Dark

It’s always good to be in the black in the finance world, and also in fashion.

I have been a convert to black for many years, because it looks so elegant. I noticed that influential fashion editors like to wear black when covering the shows in the world’s fashion capitals. It’s their uniform in a way, but I’ve always thought that why are they garbed in funereal dress. But that is the way it is.

Even with the arrival of silver and gray, classic black has not been pushed aside. Black is a classic color that never goes out of style.

It also provides ample convenience. For one, it goes well with all colors, from gold to silver, and even red. It also is not time specific; you can wear it to work and then head out on the town in it.

It’s only downfall is that it provides a dark background to highlight other less desirable parts of your appearance (the dreaded dandruff) and black can be hot to wear. But it’s one of those things where you cannot have one without the other, kind of like the beatific angel on the outside and the devilish Judas on the inside paradox. “Stop talking about yourself,” a friend once told me.
