Scarves are the New Necktie

It's clear from its recent appearances on the runway that the scarf may be the hot new menswear trend for cooler weather in Europe, and even amid the rainy, polluted weather in this land we call Indonesia. Its selling point is its supreme versatility. For frequent travelers, especially those setting off during chilly winter months, it's a simply practical choice to help keep you warm. .And for those daredevils who love scooting around town on their Vespa, a scarf is a must to help prevent a bad case of pneumonia. Designers offer a variety of sizes of scarves, so you do not have to fear resembling somebody with a communicable disease or your tobacco-smelling grandfather. Experiment by tying it in different ways, and mix it with your suits. The right choice can even go with black tie.

When Handbags are Not Enough

Miuccia Prada, Dior and Valentino are loading down the runway with bundles of suitcases. Of course, we should not forget that way before this distinguished pack of Johnny-come-latelies, Louis Vuitton carved out is reputation by making trunks and suitcases for maharajas and princesses around the globe. So luggage might be the next step after handbags, and you can certainly pack more. It's function after fashion after all. Unfortunately, there is always a pretty price to pay. Keep saving!

La Vie en Tiffany

The legendary blue box and white ribbon from Tiffany & Co is now within reach. The boutique just opened its doors at Plaza Indonesia, offering a bounty of beautiful choices.. There are rings, watches and the sparkling diamonds that dazzle the eye. There is even baby cutlery for little ones lucky to be born with a silver spoon or two in their mouths. So grab a pretzel and have your breakfast at Tiffany's, with or without the little black dress. No, it won't make you Ms. Hepburn, but you can always dream. + Samuel Mulia
