Keeping Your Cool

If you come up short in the handsome stakes and fail to register on the barometer of cool, these products may still help you measure up.

After watching blond hunk Daniel Craig in Casino Royale, I wondered when I would and could look him. "Forget it, darling!" my girlfriend immediately snipped. It's the same wistful feeling I had when I first saw Mr. Pitt in Mr and Mrs Smith, especially the beautiful way that he wore his clothes (unfortunately, it had elicited the same dismissive response from aforesaid girlfriend). To borrow from an erstwhile hit of Ms. Ross, I too want muscles.

I take the discouraging comments as motivation to do the best with what I have. With my skinny, junkie-like body (heroin chic was in once you know), I certainly need time - lots of it -- to achieve the buff and toned look of my screen idols. The gorgeous products on this page also may help create a gorgeous new me. OK, I am not about to replace Brad or George in Ocean's 14 (or 15, 16, etc.) but I can put my best face forward. Looking great is both an ego and confidence booster. And, hopefully, I will be pleasing on the eyes of the beholder. "I'll be satisfied when you are handsome," my girlfriend offered.
